We are a couple of VEGANs named Jessica and Martin.

Our goal is to retire early, and to travel the world while chasing our dreams.

Check out our Start here page for more specific details on being digital nomads.

Our origins:

Jessica is from Canada but has been living in Germany for nearly 6 years, and Martin is from Germany.

We make money by freelancing (Jessica) and working as an Engineer (Martin).

Right now we live in the state of Nord-Rhein Westfalen in Germany, and are excited to trade this stable-life for one of nomadic adventures. Probably in a year or 2, we will settle down somewhere – we just don’t know where that somewhere is yet!

Why Vegan Nomads?

People get so upset at VEGANs, so we wanted you to get upset too! jk. 😛 We are passionate about being vegans for health, ethical, and environmental reasons. Basically, we care enough to step into the controversial bubble and label ourselves ‘VEGAN’.

We don’t expect you to go VEGAN because of us, but since food affects us all, it’s important to be conscious and understand the impacts that our food choices have.

Here are some documentaries that we recommend:

Cowspiracy (environment)

Seaspiracy (environment)

Forks over Knives (health)

Farm to Fridge (graphic)

Earthlings (graphic)

Admittedly, the last 2 are difficult to watch. But whether you watch all of it, or 5 minutes, or none at all, this shit still happens. It’s reality. We ask you to consider: if it’s not good enough for your eyes, then why is it good enough for your stomach?

This speech by Gary Yourofsky also elegantly drives home many logical points.

Going VEGAN won’t solve all the world’s problems, but it is a step in the right direction.

We are optimists, and strive to make the world a better place – not just with what we say, or how we identify (kind, peace-loving, animal lovers, environmentalists…) – but in how we act at every single meal.

We’ll show you how it’s not as hard as you think!
